Buy a module, support Music for Peace

When terrible things happen in the world, it can be hard to know how to help.

The Eurorack community has members around the world, and some have been directly affected by the horrible attacks in Ukraine. We’ve always felt fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful community, and we want to help in any way we can.

Our friends at Erica Synths, based in Latvia, have been working hard: as well as directly working to help Ukrainian synth manufacturers, they recently announced their Music for Peace initiative, donating profits from a selection of their modules to humanitarian aid. At the time of this writing, they have already contributed 43,904.00 EUR.

We considered a few ways that we could help out, but realized we’d have the most impact if we involved you, our wonderful customers – this is about supporting our community and people in need, and the best way to do that is by working together.

In collaboration with our friends at Erica Synths, we are happy to contribute to the Music for Peace Initiative. Through the end of the month, we will donate the profit from all purchases of Loquelic Iteritas and Clep Diaz modules from our webshop. We will also add a company match of these profits, up to US$10,000.

The money will be added to the Music for Peace fund, to be donated to humanitarian aid via Read more at the Erica Synths page.

Other companies supporting Ukraine

Of course, the most important thing here is helping those in need if you have the capacity. You don’t need to buy a module. There are many ways to assist. You can donate directly. Charity Navigator has a list of highly rated charities helping on the ground. NPR has a list they have vetted

Or, buy a module from another company supporting Ukraine. 4ms, Bastl, Erica Synths, Xaoc Devices (if you are a synth company doing a fundraiser for Ukraine, let us know and we’ll update this space), and other manufacturers are donating, so take a look at what they’re offering – this is a great opportunity help make a difference, and possibly pick up some gear while you’re at it.

Other ways to help

We are making this plea with the understanding that it’s been a long couple of years. Even without everything that has happened in the past two years, a lot of us just would not be in a position to help. That’s okay. If you still want to, and have the bandwidth, here’s an article on some things you might be able to do without spending a penny. You can also help just by sharing the Music for Peace campaign. The more the message gets out, the more help we as a community can give.

The gear: a very quick overview

When you purchase a Loquelic Iteritas and/or a Clep Diaz, you’ll help an extremely important cause, and add some new gear to your rack.

Loquelic Iteritas is a digital complex oscillator with three algorithms, designed to pay homage to traditional analog oscillators and take their sound in an entirely new direction only possible with digital technology.

Clep Diaz is a clocked modulation source that can create stepped modulation or smooth randomized waves with a variety of settings that change their behavior, range, and direction.

Loquelic Iteritas and Clep Diaz

These two pair together very well, too: Loquelic Iteritas loves modulation, and Clep Diaz does a great job of bringing a patch to life.
