A firmware update for Mimetic Digitwolis is now available!

If you picked up a Mimetic Digitwolis, there’s now a firmware update available for you to install! This update includes some bug fixes and general improvements. In this post, we’ll go over how to install the firmware itself, and what changed.

If you haven’t picked up a Mimetic Digitwolis yet, we’ve sold out of the first run. We’re working as hard as we can to build more, and we’re hoping to have them back in stock later this year. Check in with your local retailer to see if they still have stock of the first run.

How to update Mimetic Digitwolis’s firmware

If you’re familiar with any of our platform modules (like the Versio or Alia), you’ll be familiar with the firmware update process. All you’ll need is a computer with an internet connection and Chromium-based browser, your module, and a data-capable micro USB cable like this one. The whole process takes about five minutes.

First, power off your case, and uninstall the module from your system. Then, navigate to the firmware page on our website, and click the Open Wizard button. This will give you step-by-step instructions to install the firmware update on your Mimetic Digitwolis.

Below, you can find the changelog for the new firmware. Most of the changes are bug fixes for corner-case bugs that we discovered after launch, and a few minor changes to make the module easier to use. The user manual has also been updated to reflect these changes.

We’re planning to update the module at a future date, so if you have any questions or comments about your Mimetic Digitwolis, feel free to reach out
